FAQ

Welcome to Mid Mo Sports Online. Since 2009 we have been the online home of mid Missouri sports. We are the exclusive home of Blair Oaks Falcons football live webcasts, many of them video webcasts. But since our inception, we have live webcasted football, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and even ice hockey to computers all around the world. While live webcasts will continue to be our "bread and butter", we are excited about the launch of this website and the opportunity to link to our daily sportscasts, interviews, and maybe even some blogging on high school and local college and professional sports.

#1 Who are you?

Mid Mo Sports Online was founded in 2009 by Dick Aldrich, an award winning, veteran sports and news reporter for mid Missouri television, radio, and internet publications. He also spent more than ten years as a high school basketball referee. He currently is the morning sports anchor and morning show host at KWOS Radio in Jefferson City. On most live webcasts, Dick is accompanied by Ed Kniest. Dick and Ed go way back before the turn of the century to when they were both students at the University of Missouri - Columbia. Ed recently retired after a long career with the state of Missouri. Ed holds a Master's degree in Political Reporting from what is now the University of Illinois - Springfield. He has a background as a news director at radio stations in central Illinois.

#2 How do I watch or listen to a live webcast?

We usually stream our games through Facebook Live. Just go to our Facebook site and the live video will appear there. If the webcast has already concluded, go to the "Videos" section of the page, and you will be able to watch the "replay" of the game in its entirety. We will also provide a link to the game through this webpage and through our Twitter site. In addition, we will post our podcasts on the website and Twitter pages, providing links to those 'casts.

#3 Does it cost anything to listen to the games?

No!

#4 Do I have to sign up for anything?

No, just follow the links.

#5 Do you provide other services?

We do have the ability to video games as we do the play-by-play. These files can then be copied on to DVDs for distribution to team members, fans, friends and family. We annually provide this service for Senior Night for the Jefferson City Jays soccer team. We have also in the past done this for the Lady Jays and Lady Crusaders volleyball and girls basketball teams. Our cost for this service is $10 per DVD with a minimum of 10.
