Walker staff as promised

When Terry Walker took over as head fotball coach at Blair Oaks, he promised a coaching staff that had lots of familiar faces on it. Familiar to Blair Oaks fans and families...and some familiar from their years working with Coach Walker at Jefferson City.

Steve Sampson, a former longtime member of the Jays staff, a former Jay player and a teammate of Coach Walker will be the offensive coordinator. Another long time Jay assistant will join the coaching staff, as Kirk Obermiller will work with defensive backs. Returning as Defensive Coordinator will be Dr. Bill Duke. Other familiar names and faces include Pat Mingucci, Josh Linnenbrink, Craig Sullivan, Kenny Weith, Kent Padgett, and Nick Stegman.

There's a lot of years of high school football on that staff right there. Coach Obermiller's been at it 30 years himself. And one of the best things about this group is that enough of them will be available right after school that the days of the 6:00 p.m. daily practices are gone. We look forward to seeing what this group can accomplish with a determined Falcons bunch this coming year. Informal team meetings are already underway, and a busy summer awaits.

Hard to believe...but the 2015 season kickoff is right around the corner!
