Homecoming Wake-up Call
It seems to be almost cliche, but there are times when, for some reason, homecoming messes with a young football player's mind. Maybe it's the big crowd, maybe it's a game against a traditionally inferior opponent, maybe it's the dance and his date. Whatever it is, I've seen a lot of weird things happen on homecoming both in high school and college over the years. When Hallsville went up 14-0 at Wardsville Friday night, I thought we might be on our way to another homecoming h

12 quarters and counting
Let's face it...about the only drama these days when watching Blair Oaks is if any team will actually score on them. Another shut out Friday night...let's go to the scoreboard. The offense is better than ever before with more weapons than most three high school teams combined. Play man-to-man in the secondary? Watch Thomas, Pritchitt and Edle
Week 3 State High School Football Poll
Again...not much movement in the state rankings this week. The most surprising development may be that Southern Boone drops only one place from nine to ten in Class 3 after their loss at Versailles last weekend. Camdenton drops from 5 to 9 in Class 4 after a 41-7 loss to Class 4 state ranked West Plains. Helias drops one spot in Class 4 after a 42-7 loss at the hands of Class 5 number three Vianney. The statewide high school football rankings are compiled by a 12-member panel

Big wins and BIG wins
There are big wins...and there are BIG wins. Some wins are by a lot of points, and some wins are by a razors edge, but they're still BIG. Some of both last night in mid Missouri Blair Oaks 48 Oak Grove 0 This would qualify as a big win. The Falcons took care of business against a team that was simply out-manned. Oak Grove has exactly one senior lineman. There were sophomores and freshmen all over the field. Oak Grove has a chance to be good in a couple of years, but they will
