Multiple Falcons Make All Tri-County Conference Football Team

Led by the conference's best offensive and defensive players...and the Coach of the Year...the Blair Oaks Falcons posted an impressive list of all-conference players for the 2016 season.

Jake Van Ronzelen, who at one time looked like he could be the starting quarterback, but who rushed for a new single season record, was named the conference offensive Most Valuable Player. Safety Cody Alexander was named defensive MVP. Cody was also named first team offense as an H-Back.

And after another undefeated regular season, Coach Terry Walker was named the conference Coach of the Year. Walker took a largely inexperienced team and lead them into the state quarterfinals, finishing with a record of 11 and 1. Walker is now 24 and 2 in two seasons as Falcons head coach.

Other first team players on offense were: Sophomore Quarterback Nolan Hair, offensive linemen Justin Cobb, Kaleb Cox and Riley Boeckman, and sophomore wide receiver Ben Thomas. Sophomore wide receiver Brayden Pritchett was an honorable mention choice.

On defense, joining Alexander on the first team are linemen Mason Gipe and Justin Cobb, and linebacker Brendan (Bubba) Brown. Lineman Riley Boeckman and safety Brayden Pritchett were second team all conference. Linebacker Drew Boessen and cornerback Jake Van Ronzelen were honorable mention.
